This is a de luxe edition about the painter Edvard Munch, written by Arne Eggum, Chief Curator at the Munch Museum. He is internationally considered as one of the foremost experts on Munch.
In this book, the author, who has been employed at the Munch Museum for many years, presents a comprehensive account of the life´s work of Edvard Munch. As a result of a number of special investigations, he has been able to introduce a considerable amount of new material to describe the person Edvard Munch.
The large number of illustrations in the book, about 450 in all, of which 170 are in colour, are almost exclusively from the Museums collections.
